As a person who seems to make a habit of going to other peoples weddings and taking pictures at them I really appreciate it when the bridal couples character and personality is so evident in every step of the day. There is something special when the love they have for each other is so incredibly evident in the day and the details of the day so truly reflect  them as a couple. Jenna & Bates, couple shoot

We are looking forward to photographing Bates and Jenna’s wedding in december this year and got a little holiday photography in with a night away in Hermanus and a fun shoot along the beach. here are a few photo’s from the day.

impromptu iphone shoot with Mark and Anja

Mark and Anja have become very special friends and we are photographing their wedding soon. We went with them to view their venue and possible photography locations the other day and couldn’t help getting out my iphone armed with the wonderful instagram app.I took a few shots in and around the old castle brewery and thought we’d share these with you even if they arent proffessionally taken photo’s with fancy expensive camera’s. Its whats happening in the moments that count and the awesome location needs to be seen. We also ended up on the Sea Point promenade where there is a very interesting installation of horses hanging out on the grass. Enjoy.

Meghan and Shukry

We recently had the privilege of photographing Meghan and Shukry’s wedding. We started photography at the reception where there were some amazing speeches and equally amazing food! We did a road trip style photography session driving Meghan and Shukry to a few locations enroute to their new home in the city. A Namibian Wedding – Jacques & Stefanie

I had the wonderful privilege of travelling up to Namibia to photograph Stefanie and Jacques’ wedding. I have known Stefanie since studying with her at college so this was a very special wedding for me to photograph. Just before she was about to walk down the aisle on the lawn surrounded by Namibian bushveld, a massive thunderstorm hit and it rained hard! the ceremony was moved to under the shelter of a verandah and as the preacher was talking about sunshine and shadows the sun gloriously appeared from behind the clouds and laid the foundation for the most beautiful scenery. the rain stayed away from that moment on and the rest of the wedding was filled with fun times and special moments. Skye and Neil, Lastingham guest lodge, KZN

I had the privelege of going to school with Skye…a short while ago… I was delighted when she asked me to document her and Neil’s beautiful day in the Natal Midlands. They did so well to organise much of the wedding via remote from the UK. The theme was colonial chic and the venue, Lastingham Guest Lodge. What a stunning day, unfortunately my lovely wife wasnt with me on this shoot but the lovely Nadine Smith did a wonderful job as assistant for the day!
